It Came Upon A Midnight Clear made it into not one, not two, but - TopicsExpress

It Came Upon A Midnight Clear made it into not one, not two, but THREE Christmas scenes in Where Can I Flee making it the official Christmas song for the Harpers. I often listened to this song while I was writing Christmas scenes. Ill share with you now my favorite version and the one that often played in the back ground during many of my writing sessions. It Came Upon A Midnight Clear was written by Edmund Sears in 1849. Sears was a pastor in Massachusetts who wrote the poem as a request from another pastor in the area. It was set to the tune, Carol in 1850 by Richard Willis. This is the most known version in American. In 1874 it was put to the tune of Noel by Arthur Sullivan; this version is more popular in England. https://youtube/watch?v=QUBpnwWTHMQ
