It Might Seem As If You Are Overdue, But You Are Right on Schedule for Delivery! Many of us believe we are “Pregnant for Purpose”. It seems as if we have been in labor way past the normal delivery time. We are out of sorts. The baby is moving around. Our bodies and hormones are all over the place. We have been to the physician’s office and being told everything is fine. We wonder how can things be fine, if we our past our due date? Well, my Brothers and Sisters, it is not up to us when the baby (purpose) is to be delivered. This information and timing is up to our espoused (the Father of our baby/purpose). Apparently there are still some developmental factors going on that require more time incubating. I realize that we are ready to PUSH it out, but The Great Physician has not given the okay to do so yet. If we our overdue in the delivery of our baby it is for good reasons. Remember our ways are not His ways, and they are far past us finding out. I know there are voices in your ears stating: “You should have given birth by now. Something must be wrong!” Ignore those voices and listen to the words of the Psalmist as recorded in the Book of Psalm Chapter 27 … “11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. 12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. 13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD (KJV)”. Being in this condition is uncomfortable and troublesome, and satan is attempting to take advantage while we are in this state, but we must continue seeking the face of the Lord. Why? The Lord, our Shepherd, is making us to lie down in green pastures and He is making us comfortable because He has everything we need to sustain us and our baby. This process has weakened us and we need to be replenished in the calming waters we will be walking beside. We don’t even have to be afraid when satan comes to abort the pregnancy (purpose) because God will shelter us from any dangers with His rod and staff of protection (adaptation of Psalm Chapter 23). By faith, I can hear the Lord saying to us: “Relax, I’m preparing a banquet for you in the midst of your enemies, and after they witness Me providing my sign of approval (the anointing of your heads with oil) over you they will then become your footstools, so that you can step up into the next level of your destiny. I know you are overdue, but hold on just a little while longer, and remember I will provide you with the needed strength and peace to make it”.
