It amazes me how people nowadays are weirded out by common respect/courtesy for elders. Was talking to an older gentleman, and every time he asked me a question, I responded with Yes, Sir or No, Sir. He was OFFENDED!!!! He asked me to just call him by his first name. Seriously?! What happened to a common respect for our elders?! Kind of ridiculous to me. Blame my parents who raised me to be a woman who values respect to those who deserve it.
