It amazes me that people, so-called atheists, try to remove a memorial because it is in the shape of a cross. Why? Is it because a symbol of a religion who has a God, whom you dont believe is real, offends you? If you do not believe God is real, then why do symbols, which are related to God, offend you? Maybe because God said, And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one (John 8:9). Or maybe it is because God said, When the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another (Rom. 2:15, 16) Sure....to you God does not exist, yet He, whom you do not believe exists, offends you; yet not just Him, but the things which sear you conscience with the knowledge of God. Why do these things offend you? Because God has attributes, and revealing himself through these attributes, manifest before your conscience that there is a God - Creator - but you choose to worship the creation - that being your self - more than the Creator. If God is real to you, you realize there is a Heaven and too a Hell. Maybe you believe there is no hope for you? The Answer: there is hope for you yet. Turn from the sins of this world. Turn from the gods of this world, yourself included, and turn to God. The Lord is Love. The Lord is Longsuffering. The Lord is willing that none perish, but all come to repentance. You must ask for His Salvation by faith, with your heart, and make a confession with your mouth unto God. Confess the name of Jesus, for there is no other name among men whereby we must be saved. Jesus, and Jesus alone, is able to save you O Wretched man. Amen...
