It bothers me when people say Education is the key to ending poverty and making developing countries and the lives of women better. Is it really? I ask you educate them about what? Educate them in system that was created by the same people who created these 3rd world living conditions? Give them the same education that will put them in the same jobs that will only replicate and recycle the conditions that we are attempting to eliminate. Oh yes, lets teach them the same mind numbing information and skills that will put them into the never ending rat race and cycle that is destroying humanity. I say NO, this is not the key... What we first must do is REVOLUTIONIZE what we chose to educate ourselves about. What is the valuable information that we need to know as human beings living on earth. Lets educate ourselves about what it means to be educated before we go affecting the lives and minds of others.
