It breaks my heart when I get a call at 7:00 in the morning from someone who is at Their wits end And if I cant help them this morning (By taking her in) they are surrendering their 1 &1/2 -year-old female Aussie. And actually by the end of the conversation I found out she had already tried to surrender and the shelter is full ... so the next threat was that shes taking her to the vet this morning to be euthanized. The sad part is they already have three Aussies – they drove to Georgia to rescue this AKC registered Aussie from a shelter who clearly had fear issues, brought her home and just expected her to fit in & grow out of it. Well she didnt (obviously) Now shes causing problems with one of their other females and she has to go. I told them to contact The dog Liberator, and Ewenity farms- (Florida herding dog rescues). The woman said shes smaller 36 pounds And will be texting me a picture ASAP. Anybody know of anybody who could help? I mean I know how easy it is to place a herding dog who has fear issues and may need to be an only dog.... Right....But apparently this is urgent and any leads would help. A picture of her is in the comments – they sent it after I posted. She is currently being crated most of the time. My heart is breaking and Im getting ready to go start day one of Pawsitive Kids Camp 2. I hope these amazing kids, and our beautiful new set of rescue dogs can cheer me up....
