It feels weird eulogizing a room, but Abeeku Cobbina and Sean Mulholland did a great thing. Im sad to see Crazy Cow Comedy Club is closing up shop. There were few better feelings than performing at a place that only has good shows. I got to perform on the stage where Patrick Graves was so funny he caused a lady to have a seizure. I got to perform where Jake Mattera had me laughing so hard I thought I was going to kick through the floor and into the ice cream parlor. Those are just two, of many, stories I can now brag about forever. My night there was the culmination of an amazing day at the end of a great week. As someone who typically lives in a secret ball of negative emotions I was so overwhelmed by the sudden rush of validation coming from so many people who I love and respect. All of this positivity came rushing out in the form of the status Im reposting. Even that left out the biggest part of what made that day so amazing though because, despite knowing, I was afraid to jump the gun. Leaving that show I felt so good, and not even in the usual good as the absence of bad kind of way, like really good. I felt that night like all of the effort Id put into finding stability in my emotional health had been worth it. I still have a long way to go on that front, but, despite feeling down of late, that feeling has persisted ever since. That day meant a lot to me. Thanks again to everyone involved.
