It had been 6 weeks since I had been off of work. 6 weeks before I returned to the building I did work at. The place I was when I found out my sister was dead. Today I started a new job. In the same building (temporarily), on the same project. But a different position and company. I couldnt bring myself to return to that dark, sad, hostile place. I didnt like what it had done to me over the years. so I decided not to go back. It was a very hard decision, I leave behind people I love, so dearly. But in Caitlins death I have learned that we cant waste our time being miserable. Life is too short. Even though I am dealing with the grief and sadness of her death, even starting a new job, is not near as hard as returning to that one would have been. So. To new adventures, hopes, beginnings and opportunities. Go get yours.
