It has been a day of forced rest after last nights misadventure in walking. Dad had been here all day as we had been hunting and I had left my truck parked at the top of the hill. I had ridden with him up there to fetch it back down while he was on his way out to go home. Whilst stepping down into ditch and around the nose of his truck my ankle just decided it hates me and spilled me on the ground. I had all my weight on the ball of my foot as it rolled outward with a loud pop and a small crunch. The ER doc told me that it seems to just be a really bad sprain but there is a small bone chip that showed up on the x-ray. They dont know if that is from previous injury or if its new. I get to go see an orthopedist later this week about it and to make for certain nothing has been torn. I may get to have an MRI. For now its elevated rest, absolutely NO walking on it, wear the splint they gave me, ibuprofen, and ice. Anson has been fetching and carrying things for me like a champ. On a brighter note; Matthew Maynard and Jakob Wilson came over today and I got to show them one way to cut up a deer. It was a bit bloody, but fun.
