Also today: the Kershaw County Parks and Recreation Department teams up with First Baptist Church of Camden to offer swimming lessons; the president of Prestage Farms is arrested and then released in Washington, D.C., for carrying a gun into a congressional building; Kershaw County Council is revising its procurement code; three people -- including former mayor Jeffrey Graham -- are candidates for Camden City Council; and we have a fun picture of the citys current mayor with two former ones at this years polo event. Plus: Localife is all about this Octobers Carolina Downhome Blues Festival, with a look at the musicians slated to appear. All that plus Sports and Viewpoint, too, are ready for you now from your local hometown community newspaper and website: the Chronicle-Independent!
