It has been a while but here is my review of the movie Interstellar: The movie is basically a celebration of Einstein’s deep insight into space and time, his theory of special relativity in particular. And tells you why terms like genius/ Intelligence are synonymous with his name. The movie is an extension of Einsteins idea by Professor Kip Thorne (one of the pioneers of Quantum mechanics) and the resurrection of lost data which once formulated the war between Leonard Susskind and Stephen Hawking, all seem to measure up in this modern masterpiece by the Nolan Brothers. The first half of the movie builds up the plot and it goes the distance in the second half. Matthew MacConaughey might get an Oscar nomination for the part he played, particularly the docking scene for which cinematography was brilliant. Anne Hathaway played the supporting hand while Matt Damon showed the inner conscience of humans when they are lost and feel like dying. The principles of quantum mechanics as strange as they might seem, it is still the best scientific tool we have to explore the Universe, this fabric of space and time is explored in the entire second half of the movie, and this movie also had a signature Christopher Nolan progression in it, where the end is shown in an absurd way in the beginning and then it is spectacularly justified as it was in Inception. The movie ends with one of the dreams Professor Stephen Hawking has and has given many lectures on, in NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration as well, that is to build human civilization beyond planet earth. Even Professor Brian Cox explained such in his BBC series Wonders Of The Universe. The movie however is open to speculations but the science behind it is pretty strong, so unless science is your thing, you might find this movie difficult to understand. I will give this movie an 8.8/10
