It has been awhile since I have shared my story. I am hoping this weekend is my turn for a home. I have been waiting over a year. What about the promise that you made To stay with me till your dying day, Said youd never go away. Are they just things that people say? ~ Lady Antebellum - Things People Say Payton has learned that she cant always rely on people to keep their promises. Life had been working out just fine until her Mom left. Mom was her go-to human, the one she was closest with. Dad made sure her needs were met (food, shelter, etc.) but the love she lost was just too hard on her. Pets can grieve just like humans and sometimes theyll act out and, sure enough, Payton started being aggressive with the other cats in the home. The next thing she knew, her Dad was surrendering her to us. Payton is a beautiful 4 year old grey and buff tortie. She has a very sweet personality and will let you pick her up easily. We worry though that she cannot handle being in a shelter for an extended period of time. She sometimes has stomach problems, likely due to the stress of recent events. Her former owner mentioned litter box issues but this was also something she never exhibited until her Mom left. Were very optimistic that, given a decent amount of time to adjust, Payton would be a wonderful addition to your household. Because of how she responds to stress, it would be best for her to go to a quiet home, with no other cats or small children. Payton has already been spayed. Please consider adopting Payton and prove to her that people can indeed keep their promises.
