It has been more than 600 days – more than twenty months - since the Peace Corps has had a Director. That is by far the longest time in Peace Corps’ history that the agency has gone without a Director. Acting Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet (Western Samoa 1981-83) was nominated to become Peace Corps’ 19th Director nine months ago. It has been six months since her confirmation hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. It’s time for the United States Senate to hold a vote on this nomination. We need your sustained help to make this happen.
