It has been quite busy here for a few weeks. A couple of interesting events happened. At this time I dont have answers for either. I visited a house , where a security system is continually being set off. The system has been checked twice to make sure it operates correctly. The area involved is an upstairs apartment. The only way in, is from the porch. There is a solid storm door with a dead bolt. At the top of the stairs there is another door of the same type that opens into the apartment. Police respond when the alarm goes off. At no time have they found anyone, or any signs of an attempted or actual break in. The alarm system is motion activated. It goes off when no one is at home upstairs. Cameras have only picked up shadowy movement at the time the alarm is activated. Windows have been covered and duct tape has been used to make sure that no light or shadows enter the apartment from outside. I sat on the stairs for hours, waiting. After 3 hours, I heard footsteps in the apartment... I thought. You know, creaking floor, kind of a shuffle. Some noise I couldnt identify. With in minutes, security responded. I had the owners cell phone, the alarm had been activated. When we went into the apartment, no one was there. The only thing different was that all the cupboard doors were open, as were all the drawers in the kitchen. All the camera shows is something coming up to the lens.. then all goes black. The sounds are on there, just no picture. The thing that comes up to the camera lens looks like a dark non-descript shape. Any thoughts?
