It has come to my attention that some people are carrying on about the use of Revolution (Selemectin) being used orally to treat animals with mites. These two photos are of a squirrel that was dosed orally before and after treatment. He was dosed twice (at two week intervals). I have used Revolution orally in raccoons, squirrels and the coyote with no ill effects. I was told I could do this by a veterinarian and have been using it this way for many years now. Revolution is much safer in rodents than ivermectin. Using it orally causes the levels of the drug to be much higher much quicker but it is safe to use at those levels and it is eliminated from the system faster orally than it is topically. This European study shows Selemectin to be safe to use orally. Use in wildlife is off label use so calling the drug manufacturer will get you the response that it is not labelled for such use. I wish people would understand that I do not do anything without fully researching what I am going to do and asking a lot of questions to people who will know more than I do about it. I just get so tired of some people running around telling people that I dont know what I am doing and causing harm to animals when the scientific studies support my methods. ema.europa.eu/docs/en_GB/document_library/EPAR_-_Scientific_Discussion/veterinary/000050/WC500068667.pdf
