It has just come to our attention via one of the running forums that that Greater Anglia have decided to undertake some rail improvement works the weekend of the race, and are putting on a rail replacement bus service between Cambridge and Newmarket. As such, the bus service is scheduled to arrive at 0835am. I have emailed Greater Anglia to see whether anything can be done. However, working on the assumption that they will be inflexible, I will certainly look at the option of delaying the starting time of runners who are arriving from London on this service, so as to avoid causing any further issues. This must be a recent decision on the part of Greater Anglia, as last time I checked a few weeks back, it was still scheduled to arrive shortly after 8am. We will do our best to find a satisfactory solution to this issue and I will be emailing all runners this evening to ensure that everyone is aware of the situation.
