It has occurred to me, from personal experience with people who are very ill and family stays with them constantly so they wont die alone. ....that they do not want to die in front of their loved ones and so they linger and suffer longer. I feel that the Lord has encouraged me to pray for certain ill people. ...that the Lord will take them quickly, and that the loved ones will accept this with peace in their hearts. I have asked people, who approve for me to pray: do they want me to pray for recovery or for God to take them swiftly. Some were shocked to think of requesting God to take them but they did let me pray that request. .....and I can attest to the fact that the ill person relaxed and did pass away with in minutes.
