It has recently come to our attention, that there are now over 70 (!!!!!!) tattoo shops in the greater ABQ metro area, not counting un-licsensed shops, and/or scratchers in their kitchens, that is an obscene number, of those shops, all but maybe 6-10 couldnt tattoo their way out of paper bags, think before you ink people, with the social acceptance of our art/trade /craft, coupled with these over the top, semi-ridiculous TV shows , tattoo style art on everything from clothes to car seat covers, every little dummy with an Ed Hardy t-shirt, and Miami Ink on DVD thinks they can do this, it has led to a rash of unprofessional, unskilled, unqualified people attempting to cash in, not cool, and the general public pays the price, the average person has no clue what to look for in an artist/studio, do your research, look at portfolios , ask to see autoclaves/spore tests/artist set ups, dont be fooled by smooth talkers, dont go looking for the cheapest tattoo you can find, it really is mind blowing how many crappy shops there are in this town, if you dont get tattooed by us, we will gladly recommend other shops/artists who will do you a nice job, in a clean , professional manner
