Considering he is supposedly investigating this... why did he do the grandstanding and not simply reveal the answers that he has already seen to these questions via the investigations they have already done on this? Why was Chris Stevens in Benghazi? He had several meetings scheduled. Naeem Jabril - an appellate court judge, Mahomoud Mufi, a shipping company owner, Ali Akin, the Turkish Consul General, Fatih Baja - a Libyan academic with a PHD in Political Science. & looking to make it a permanent outpost. He went there to do his job. Why was the consulate still open in Benghazi after the British had left? The team, including security personnel did not recommend abandoning Benghazi. Sec. Clinton thought that it was partially because they were used to working in dangerous places. Why were requests for additional security was denied? Funding cuts in Congress… House cut funding. Local security was being used. Why were no assets deployed? The agency mobilized the evacuation effort, took control of an unarmed U.S. military drone to map possible escape routes, dispatched an emergency security team from Tripoli, the capital, and chartered aircraft that ultimately carried surviving U.S. personnel to safety on Sept. 12, U.S. officials said. U.S. intelligence officials insisted that CIA operatives in Benghazi and Tripoli made decisions rapidly throughout the assault with no interference from Washington, even while acknowledging that CIA security forces were badly outmatched and largely unable to mobilize Libyan security teams until it was too late. Other security assets in the region were being moved, but the attack ended before they could get there. Did the president call any allies? Which allies should he have called first? Allies were no closer or ready to respond than American forces. Why was Susan Rice put on talk shows. Why not? There is no rule that says Rice can’t… and Clinton has to. Origin of “mythology” spawned from spontaneous video CIA.. Intelligence Community… but anyone watching the responses to the video in other areas of the world, would naturally question if it was taking advantage of the unrest. At the time of the initial statements.. it was not known, but not ruled out. I can’t believe he left out the “stand down order” bullshit.
