It is a good idea to have the same mechanic, much like the same dentist, the same pharmacist, the same physician. Your mechanic knows your car, your service history, and your preferred way of doing things. You should trust and rely on your mechanic to be honest and forthright. How can one shop know what another shop has done? Sometimes parts are defective, and sometimes symptoms are treated and not the core problem. This can cost alot of time and money - both of which are in short supply these days!
