It is a mistake : too expensive from San Francisco to San Jose. All Silicon Valley parkings are full. Only poor people take public transportation. Ritch people avoid security gas in their SUV, windows closed. The BART system is too expensive per mile. We need a light train on El Camino Real for our day to day shopping, for public health reasons. The level of Co2 there is dangerous to all. The light train has to go from San Jose to San Francisco : an economic pole of development for small businesses on El Camino Real with vocation streets going to the Caltrain (University, California, Castro, etc). The BART will blow its budgets and crooks will fill their pockets again. No one in Silicon Valley knows how to control a budget and stay in the legal limits. Too many have a culture of free lunches. The light train is a safe, experienced, reliable technology. Invest in excellent tracks. Cash in revenues first for one year. After, invest in better wagons. Another silicon delirium.
