It is a really long story (I will post more details on his Caring Bridge page) but Lochlan was discharged from the hospital on Friday afternoon!!! They did not have to put in another IV, they did not even have to poke him for blood draws. They decided since he had his port out on Thursday afternoon, they got 2 blood draws from him after surgery, he is otherwise showing no signs of being sick, no fever since he spiked one on Tuesday, we could come home!!! Lochlan is doing well and nothing more has grown on his blood cultures, meaning the infection was in his port and no where else in his body!!! I have to say a million thanks to my amazing in-laws and equally amazing chosen family (you know who you are ; ), we would not have survived the last 11 months without them!! They are there to help us out when ever we need it, no matter the time of day or night!!! I will never be able to repay them for all they have done but I hope each and everyone of them know how much we love and appreciate them!! Love ya!!
