It is a shame that words from, about, to, and for God have been - TopicsExpress

It is a shame that words from, about, to, and for God have been forcibly evolved into the word OF God. Jesus is the final word from God regarding humanity. There will never be another word that will mean more than what Christ revealed. Still, we worship our bible above all else, as though it were the sole revelation from God, and the men who penned it were infallible in their understanding. The bible is a wonderful piece of our faith. It is not the substance of our faith however. Jesus Christ is. When Jesus appeared on the scene what He found was akin to how I might feel if someone found my wife attractive and tried to write a biography of her. They might be able to talk about her beauty from afar, but I know it intimately. Jesus revealed the intimacy of the Father, and still we cling to the imperfect revelations of men who died long before He came on the scene. He routinely said things that differed from the commonly accepted religious dogma regarding His father, and yet, we accept the very things He contradicted. The bible is an inspired book inasmuch as we realize inspiration does not equal perfection. Inspiration means someone who was not in the bosom of the Father tried their best to reveal the Father in the language they had available to them. They were moved to write down the mysteries. And however good they seemed to do, John still tells us the following in his prologue. No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (1:18) If a revelation does not line up with the Abba Jesus has revealed to us, then it is not the heavenly Father. This applies to the text, as well as our own personal private revelation. Jesus is the litmus test every revelation must pass. Does it match with the Father that says neither do I condemn you, or does it match with the god who says i grow weary of humanity. If its the latter - it isnt the Abba of Jesus.
