It is absolutely incredible that the Chattanooga Times Free Press has printed stories on both Friday and Saturday that contain outright lies spread by a politically motivated, corporate financed, anti-union front group (the so-called Center for Worker Freedom that is a financed subsidiary of Grover Norquists Americans for Tax Reform) which claimed that Volkswagen workers were going to the IBEW union hall to vote in the UAW Local 42 elections on company time. The only source of these claims in both stories is the political hack hired by Norquist, and the claims are denied by both Volkswagen and the United Auto Workers. These claims can be easily fact checked with the workers. All the workers I have spoken to say the same thing - the paper is printing lies from a single anti-union source. The CTFP business reporters are routinely giving this kind of uncritical, unverified, and ideologically motivated coverage to the lies and distortions perpetuated by anti-union, anti-worker business groups. What a joke.
