It is always my pleasure to learn from the wise man of faith, - TopicsExpress

It is always my pleasure to learn from the wise man of faith, among them is the wisest man to ever walk upon the earth, King Solomon. I like how he challenged the sluggards and slothful to learn from the hardworking ants (Proverbs 6 vs 5-9), I then took a careful study of these magnificent organisms and these are some the lessons that I derived; Ants work as a team characterized by efficient division of labour with the worker carrying particles of sand to the point of concern, the soldiers jealously guarding their territory from unwanted potential intruders, the queen laying eggs and making sure that she breeds to replenish the community for continued survival. Those that have an appreciation of rural life can testify how civilized these creatures are, especially those that were at some point victims of the stinging soldier ants while attempting to trap the flying species of the family (ishwa) for foods. Without a supervisor they excellently execute their duties, patiently carrying the small particles of sand, they built lifelong anthills capable of enduring all weather conditions with minimum damages, never bothered by the slow progress and at times by the resistance we offer against them by destroying their structures, they are resilient and well determined, proving that neither size, nor position, nor personal history, nor present circumstances, nor humble and clumsy background is to be a drawback if we unequivocally purpose to be who we want to be! It is important to note that ants are noiseless, silent but effective proving that the louder we shout the less effective we become with exceptional cases of our friends like Macheso where shouting is his key performance indicator! Ants always have one king and one queen at a time, this helps to preserve their genetic idiosyncrasy as well as avoiding conflict which can be easily brewed should they have multiple kings and queens at the same time. Storing up food supplies for the coming seasons, preparing a safe haven for their young ones, displaying gorgeous architectural prowess in constructing their well fortified fortresses, ants are a spectacular organisms that can provoke us to make a difference, to be resilient, to be pragmatic and level headed, to strive for excellence and integrity, to be enduring and determined, to be true to duty and to principle as they are and above all to be an effective team as they are, never fighting and struggling for supremacy but complementing each other for the best of the team realizing that its far better to share an elephant as a team than to take than to fully own the whole mice alone! First for the youths and to everyone, I give you this quotation from my favorite writer who has influenced the way I see things and my perception towards virtually everything. I quoted it from the book Messages to Young People by Ellen G. White (1827-1915) Never think that you have learned enough, and that you may now relax your efforts. The cultivated mind is the measure of the man. Your education should continue during your lifetime; every day you should be learning, and putting to practical use the knowledge gained. {MYP 193.1} Remember that in whatever position you may serve, you are revealing motive, developing character. Whatever your work, do it with exactness, with diligence; overcome the inclination to seek an easy task. {Messages to Young People page 193 paragraph 1 &2}
