It is amazing to me...seeing how many people just do not get it, dont want to try and get it and probably never will get it. Oh how far we havent come in the areas of most importance and significance. If when asked, who are you? You then answer with; a Democrat, Republican, white, black, Christian, Muslim, atheist, or any other form of tribalism. You are automatically assigning yourself all that comes with it, a person will assume they know all there is to know about you. I would like to know who you are, what you care about, what you are passionate about. More so than; what you hate, who you dont agree with or why your stance is a better than theirs, throwing out bullet points you heard on 5 oclock news. I did a lot of unfollowing today and not even sure why I have a Facebook anymore. I dislike the negativity, the arguing and bickering over politics, the illusions of race. I liked it better when people only shared cat pictures even...like Nicole Dokoupil! I dont even like cats but at least it is cute and doesnt make we want to slap a person and tell them to go to sleep.
