It is because I respect police officers that I hold them to a high standard of ethics. I feel the same way about judges ave lawyers... I once had opposing counsel perjure himself over a $150 legal fee and let his client suffer long-term for his own scumbaggery, yet I still hold my colleagues in high regard! Not from fear, from love! We are part of a so-called noble profession and are required to maintain licensure based on ethics courses. I expect the same for police. I oppose police brutality, I am horrified and heartbroken by the deaths of officers Liu and Ramos, and I continue to pray their families and for peace and justice.
