It is fun to go through the vintage animal pictures from the National Library of Ireland for at least three reasons. 1. These pictures show how not so long ago animals used to be part of daily life everywhere. 2. The pictures include some very funny (or awkward) portraits of people with their animal friends. 3. The staff at the National Library of Ireland has come up with some clever captions for some of these shots.
