It is great to see the Holy Father speaking English on his trip to Korea. I dont think that English is high on his list of spoken languages, but I hope that the folks in the Vatican have been helping him. By the way, he gave a homily in German last week. The last two popes were great European intellectuals, and language proficiency is an essential element of that. I am sure that the Holy Father understands that his message is conveyed more effectively the more he himself speaks English, rather than having a summary read by some priest from the Secretariat of State. I wonder if Laura Mizaur is checking to see, if this was written by the Grumpy Catholic. :) #jesuiteducation
