It is hard as a mom to learn to let go as your children get older. Man am I learning a lesson in that today.... Braxton called HCC to find out what he needed to do to get his placement testing set up and they said he had to come to the campus and speak to the admissions office. He took a shower, got a backpack and put everything in it he would need and left to catch the bus. (Which is a couple miles away walk) we talked about which buses to take before he left and I said maybe you should wait until dad can drive you or at least show you the route. He said mom I am 17 and you have to trust me and that I can do this. How could I argue against that. Told him all the mom things, dont talk to anyone, make sure you call me or text me when you get to the bus are on the bus, when you get off the bus.. 😂😂 and I have been a nervous wreck ever since he left. Happy to say he has made it to HCC, but will be even happier when he walks back in that front door! Can I just have my little boy back?? Love you Braxton and am SOOO dang PROUD of you!
