It is my vision of having local offices and warehouses inside of our communities. I hear alot of people talking about starting new communities but i believe we can occupy already existing communities, ones recovering and looking for solutions. Communities like the 9th ward in New Orleans or in stagnant Downtown Jacksonville. These are the communities i have lived and grown up in and id like to help them rather than abandon them. If we had office and warehouse space we could organize and grow significantly. I believe we could incorporate and begin operating as a legal entity and organization. We could fundraise and actually begin to make a physical presence. I imagine these offices being activistHQs that offer resources and a place to connect LOCALLY and GLOBALLY. I imagine these places being print shops, internet cafes, and places where we can stockpile food, clothing, and supplies needed to help those in our community. It should be a place to gather and organize. These offices should be staffed and funded. They should remain active and open 24/7 to people in need. They should also reach out to other activist groups to join in the alliance and work side by side with organizations that are taking action. A media center for activists everywhere I imagine funding coming through mainly INSIDE contributions like AA, and we should be wary of lending our name to corporate interests. The Sierra Club is great and I believe we could be working with them, but i do not feel they should try to buy us out. We do not want to be bought out and we do not want to sell out either. Offices would also work together on higher levels International National State City the world needs an activist alliance HQ. Each nation needs an HQ Each state needs its HQ Each city needs an HQ I believe if we can open and operate community centers, we do not have to work seperately from our homes, we can work together inside of our communities. We would have a place to gather, meet, coordinate, and even call home. We would also be offering resources to those actually interested in taking part and making a difference. Like i said, these places could operate as print shops, kitchens (fnb), thrift shops, community resource centers. If we are able to create a legit organization we would be able to fund these offices and our cause. Some of these campaigns we run SERIOUSLY need funding Oh and how could i forget to mention these places could be STUDIOS for artists and musicians to put their talents to use. Imagine a place where we could record tracks, produce videos etc I keep seeing properties that would really be nice to occupy
