It is pertinent to state categorically clear that, BATHING WITH SALT SOLUTION and DRINKING it to prevent the dreaded EBOLA menace is NOT Scientific nor Medically proven. The rumours making the rounds about the matter is adjudged as an unnecessary promulgation to cause tension rather than prevention. Transmission of EBOLA Virus is via body fluids (blood, saliva, sweat, semen, vagina discharge, mucus, slimy secretion etc) and not AIR. Precaution: Avoid contact with sick people; avoid bush meat, exposed meat and suya; limit handshakes; and wash hands regularly. Also, kissing, coitus and related acts can transmit the feared virus. Avoid half-eaten fruits by birds. The EBOLA virus is present in Monkeys, bats, bush animals etc. Be Cautious but dont panic or feel extremely frightened or worried about the possible nuisance, threat or danger of the disease so as to avoid confusion and possible errors!!!! Report every suspected cases of haemorrhagic fever on time to the nearby and appropriate health institution.
