It is really shocking that majority of the MPs across the country has been given a low or just an average rating in a report card made by a recent survey conducted by CNN-IBN and ADR. The survey shows most of the high profile MPs are just below the minimum score which includes Rahul Gandhi and Sushama Swaraj. It may be true that most of the MPs voted below average are good parliamentarians, But what reflects in the survey is that the people of the country doesnt want somebody who can make firing speeches no matter wheather its an MP, MLA or even a councillor. They want solutions to their problems. They want bread and butter, drinking water, shelter, They want, better employment opportunities, better roads, better electric supply, better public transports, better hospitals and health care, Security for women, Eradication of Corruption etc. Today at a state when Local anti-incumbency stands as a greater issue, the representatives should have to be in touch with the people who elected them as their representative and have to focus on the issues which the people are facing.
