It is sad that many schools today do not teach the classical authors anymore to kids, as they did in my high school: Plato, Homer, Dickens, Shakespeare, etc. I say sad, because the current American educational system does near nothing to enrich a childs mind in philosophical thinking as well as almost failing in sciences. Those two categories of thinking, as I see it, are the most important parts of knowledge in a society. Without them, there is no spark to imagination, hence no creation of curiosity, leading to no building of intelligent thought. Somehow we ALL need to go back to our roots and fix our broken educational system or this nation may collapse in the future due to our own in general stupidity. America is already, as Dr. Kaku expresses, being overrun by foreign peoples taking our science and thinking professions away from the natural born Americans with substandard education.
