It is sad that the farmers are going for suicide rather than facing the problems. One can understand their plight though. Admittedly, the situation is pathetic.. The Agriculture Minister has nothing to offer but lip services. These very politicians have made crores of funds using the blood of the farmers. The funds are stashed in foreign countries. It was Mr Gopinath Munde who had personally been with the farmers few years back to understand & realize their problems. He had also suggested many financial & insurance policies & systems for the Government to implement. However, a farmer in village & a bread earner in city, both face the same issues. The city dwellers also live miserably to repay the Bank Loan taken for a house. He either ends his whole life living in frustration or dies in service. All such loan users always live with a hanging sword over their head. One should motivate thy self than end life…. After 66 years of Independence such is the case - what can one expect from the self-centred politicians. Regards, Nitin Hoskote.
