It is so important to get a second opinion! We have a bit of water damage in a corner of our basement. Yesterday we had an estimate from one waterproofing company that totally freaked Bob and I out about how we needed to overhaul our entire house and it came with a hefty price tag. Today, the second company suggested we adjust our downspouts and soil grading on that side of the house because that could likely fix the problem, but if it doesnt to call them again. Two very different opinions! The more I think about it, the more Im convinced the first person saw two newer homeowners who clearly dont know about this stuff and tried to take advantage!
