It is strange that the same set of Yoruba Youths campaigning for Gambari to come back to power in 2015, are the same set of people now shouting over the social media that Jonathan has become a terror after the impeachment of that one from Adamawa. If Jonathan uses 10% of the power Gambari used for 50 years on the Yoruba people, Tinubu and Obasanjo would have been dead by now. Perhaps, I may have been in prison by now and Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets would have been blocked in Nigeria. It is just very unfortunate that majority of the Yoruba Youths dont just understand the power of a sitting unitary president of Nigeria. Such a person is more powerful than Jesus Christ. Gambari and the Ibo have always rejected proposal to reduce such power of the president to a mere figure head of state and devolved much of the power to the ethnic nationalities under regional autonomy based on true and fiscal federalism. I must however confess here that if the Yoruba dont act now decisively to either do everything to get regional autonomy now or for a proper real progressive Yoruba to take over from Jonathan next year, if Jonathan wins that election, we may live to regret it. Jonathan today has absolute power over the police, armed forces, judiciary, prisons, national assembly, intelligence services, senior civil service, border control, the church and mosque as well as the monarchies. He is the new Jesus Christ of our time. Gambari and the Ibo created such a powerful political system in 1966. How I wish he deals with only the Gambari and the Ibo but as usual of any individual with such power since 1966, Yorubaland is always their target practice. We are now in total danger.
