It is surprising that the Petroleum Minister, Mr. Moily, has suggested that petrol pumps should be closed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., for nearly 12 hours. It is almost imposition of curfew on petrol pumps. When the Prime Minister is saying that crisis is not grim, why he is taking such an unprecedented step of closing down the petrol pumps. It would be harsh, inconvenient, and inconceivable. It cannot be allowed. If it is a step for economic emergency, let the government announce that.
