It is time to Pray Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven (Psalm 107:28-30) June 8th, 2014 is Pentecost day. Roman Catholic Pope Francis will be praying for and with Presidents of Israel and Palestine at the Vatican. Let us stand with them in prayer. May we also pray for peace in the Central African Republic, Sudan and South Sudan and resolution of the situation in Nigeria. Closer home let us pray for the resolution of the situation in the platinum belt and an end of the strike. Pray that the parties may commit and arrive at a just and acceptable solution. There is also need to pray for and assist materially all the families displaced within South Africa right in the middle of winter. The lack of adequate housing for so many is a crisis that needs urgent attention from the Ministry of Human Settlements. TOGETHER, in Christ, we can make a difference in our communities.
