It is time to make a very hard decision. Our Miss Muffin, a paralyzed Dachshund brought to us from a kill shelter where she had been turned in many years ago is now facing a worse situation. She has over come here paralysis with the help of a lot of care and her wheelchair but the mammary cancer that has caused her up to this point no pain, is now doing just the opposite. While she still eats and enjoys sunny herself on the back deck. the tumor is growing at such a rate it is becoming painful and her quality of life is diminishing. Dr. Monto has determiner to put her through repeated surgeries as old as she is and as challenged as her body already is, would be unfair to this darling little girl. So I have made the decision to free her from this increasing discomfort and pain and let her not progress in what we know will be increased suffering. Never easy especially with a sweetheart like Miss Muffin, who everyone loves.
