It is very important that we read or hear, study and meditate the Word by the help of the Holy Spirit, who alone gives us wisdom and revelation of the Word so that we obey the will of God in our lives. Joshua 1:8 "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth, meditate on it day and night , so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." Wherever there is willful disobedience to the Word of God, there is spiritual darkness and the potential for demonic activity. After coming into the light, if we tolerate sin, we are again in darkness Luke 11:35 " See to it, then that the light within you is not darkness". Light comes into the spirit through the Word of God. Proverbs 20:27 the spirit of man is the lamp of God, your spirit illuminated by the spirit of Christ becomes the lamp of the Lord. The Word of God alone keeps us in the light.
