It is very interesting for me just the meaning behind the struggles or moments in time during a part of my life that my tattoos represent for me. My first tattoo says in French she flies on her own wings. I still remember how liberating it was as I got it during a point in my separation where I knew I could do this. I knew I had the strength to raise my kids and do it on my own. I also remember the first words out of my exs mouth, do you realize you have ruined all your natural beauty now with that tattoo? You have no beauty left. Interestingly enough I dont find beauty in the way I look but the beauty in my children and my accomplishments and what I can give back to this world, sorry no tattoo will take that beauty away from me. My second tattoo says love fearlessly. When I finally knew I was ready for love once again in my life. I truly hate being hurt like anyone else but I hate the idea of living in fear even more. Unfortunately I have been hurt more than I would like too but still this tattoo reminds me why living in fear is worse... My newest tattoo never look back, this has been a tattoo I have been wanting for such a long time. This is to remind me that just because my marriage didnt make it, it doesnt mean my future is dictated by it. Not to regret the choices I have made but learn from them and accept the outcome but to not keep looking back. Not everyone has to love my tattoos but that is okay they are mine and I love what they represent to me and my growth and changes in this crazy life of mine.
