It is very sad to sit around and see your country fail the people in it on so many different levels. It is even more sad to see that the people inside that country have become comfortable with accepting it is as normal. It is not okay that our education system is declining annually because we would rather spend on other things rather than fund education and making teaching a profession that is desirable to smart people. Guess what...If you dont pay people a comfortable wage then the majority of people will flock to other professions. This the exact reason why our colleges are top notch and business is so top heavy. Professors are paid nicely and smart students go and get their money in business. What about the teachers that are supposed to be mentoring our kids? If you dont take care of them, then eventually the great teachers will die out. But no....we will just continue to act oblivious and like we have no idea why our test scores our going down so rapidly.
