It is very understandable that people find the decision by a third party to appeal the granting of permission for two large supermarket by Kildare county council and Athy Town council very frustrating.These are two retail centres that I would be supporting. it is important to note that Kildare county council and the old Athy town Council granted permission for these which is a commitment to Athy town. Any planning application can be appealed . It is important to note that 80% of the time the board agrees with the Councils decision. I would be hopeful that the board would agree with KCC decision.
