It is weird how much you change after losing someone who was your life. Tonight, I look around at the house that I honestly thought I would grow old in, and there is nothing but boxes and empty space. Got to tell ya...it really is a little sad. I didnt think it would be, but it is. This house has represented so much to me. I had a lot of hopes, fears, sadness, and joy here. So much has changed in the past few months. God in Heaven....everything has changed. I lost my Dad and my little boy within four months of each other only to give up a life that was so definitive at one time, not so long ago. Life can and will change with one phone call. Truly, I hate that. I wish that life was like a library card where you had a certain time to turn it in. My Dad would argue that that is not life. It is merely existing. I agree to a certain extent. I love knowing that he will never feel sadness again because life is pretty brutal without him. Just a little sad tonight. Praying that tomorrow will be better. Love and hugs.
