It is well-known that the Nazi “final solution” resulted in the murder of about fifteen million innocents in Europe. We all feel revulsion seeing naked corpses on our TV. I promise you will feel no revulsion watching the “Wannsee Conference”, a German-made, German-language film based on the minutes of that 20 January 1942 conference at which Hitler’s henchman, Reinhard Heydrich, secured the backing of lesser government officials as they all sat around the conference table drinking coffee and brandy. For me this film hammered home the fact that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. We must all exercise our right to vote and cherish our right of free speech. The film lasts about 90 minutes as did the actual conference. This version has English sub titles.
