It is with a heavy heart that I must inform Caerthe, and the Outlands of the loss of another of our earliest members. Mistress Margaret (Nancy Pinney) of Househiold Griffin Tower died on 5-18-14. As expected she left not only wonderful memories, according to Mistress Kate, Caerthes earliest 12th Nights were hosted at Griffin Tower, but also many many, many books. I spoke with her executor, (and I believe daughter) this morning and have asked her to set aside any historical cookery texts which I will purchase, and, in cooperation with Caerthes Cooks Guild, plan to set up as a Reference Library (perhaps with approval it will be the Mistress Margaret Memorial Reference Library.) I may also see if she has other items relevant to Caerthes History that might come home. The below information is from Jane: As her executor I will be holding a garage sale on July 11 and 12 from 10AM to 4PM. There are at least 350 or more cookbooks, over 500 small pamphlets with recipes, 600 or more history books, over 900 science fiction and fantasy books, 400 or more mystery books with a special section of Roman mysteries, about 75 take offs on Jane Austen books and about 60 general humor books plus over 200 books about climate change, the dust bowl, dinosaurs, etc. Hardbacks are $1.00, Trade paperbacks are $.75, paperbacks are $.50 and the pamphlets are $.10 each. Because she had a great love of history, cooking and science fiction I know she would want these to go to homes where they will be appreciated and loved. I appreciate you helping me to reach people who are likely to provide good homes. Jane Clayton Location: 600 N. Williams, Denver In Service to the Dream, and in memory of Mistress Margaret Catrin von Berlin, called Gwen Cat
