It is with a heavy heart that I pass on that I lost my Mom, - TopicsExpress

It is with a heavy heart that I pass on that I lost my Mom, Veronica Doyle Mason, this past Thursday. A Fantastic Mom. She always had my back, and would kick me in the arse when I needed it. She was born and raised in Mt Airy. When she was young she lived on Pleasant St., Slocum St., and Vernon Rd. She attended grammar school at Little Flower on Upsal St., and St Madeleine Sophie at Greene and Upsal. She told me that St Madeleine Sophie held Mass at the Upsal Theater until the church was competed. When she married, they lived on the unit block of Mt Airy Ave, then Nippon St., before buying our house at 6754 Germantown Ave. As kids, we knew not to get her Irish up, or look out. Im lucky to have her beautiful hair, and she passed her sense of humor down to me. She liked dragging my Dad on Sunday rides all over creation to seek out newly discovered eateries; another trait passed down to me. The 5 Mason kids were born within a 4 year span (with the twins thrown in), so my Mom had 4 of us in diapers at a time. One of her favorite expressions was Tell me who your friends are, and Ill tell you what you are. Rest in Well Deserved Peace, Mom.
