It is with a heavy heart that I report Murphy passed away peacefully at 10:15 this morning. Mommy was laying beside him and daddy was in the rocking chair holding his hand. He was not in pain. We know that he is now running in heaven free as a bird... no vent, no feeding tube, no iv lines, no monitors... just free! When we woke up this morning we found yellow sticky notes all over Murphys wall with messages from the staff at the hospital. They loved him so. Murphy saw nothing but love during his whole life and had more people loving on him that most people will ever have in a full lifetime. While his time with us was brief, his impact was insurmountable. Thank you to everyone who prayed for him and showered their love on him and us over the past 22 months. We will have service information at a later time. At this point we are gathering our many items to take home and preparing to make that difficult step back into our now empty home.
