It is with a heavy heart that, after seven years, I have decided to leave jonee earthquake band. Its still thrilling to know Ive been a member of whats been my favorite local band since I was fifteen. It has been an incredible adventure, and a truly formative experience. Ive learned so much, and jonee and JaneY have become two of my best friends. When it comes to punk rock, DIY, and genuine, intelligent, and funny as all hell people, theyre truly the real deal. It might sound a little cliché, but they, along with our bass player of the last five years, Jim, have absolutely become family to me. It is an understatement to say that it was an incredibly difficult decision to make, because Ill also be leaving Bellwire and The Little Richards - bands also composed of more of my very closest friends and artistic collaborators. I just feel that its time to do something a little different. Thank you so much to everyone that has booked us, come out to shows, bought our merch, or even just cared at all. It really means so much. Ill be playing my last few shows with jonee, bellwire, and the Little Richards for the rest of the summer, as well as my first few with my new band, GYMSHORTS. And when another of the closest persons in my life returns from basically running a summer camp up in New Hampshire, WET DRESS plans on returning with a new album this coming fall. I hope to stay in touch and play shows with jonee and the others. Id love to see any family, friends, and acquaintances out at my last several shows, including tonight at Opus Underground in a town thats very important to me, Salem, MA.
